Why I’m Building This

I’ve spent much of my life in dance, and I’m building something I always felt was missing.

I want dancers from different worlds to share a floor, see how their performances compare and earn recognition for their dancing. For me, that includes the excitement of a close duel, moving up the rankings and facing a familiar rival again. It also means discovering dancing beyond your own scene.

My hope is that dancers can build a reputation within the community through their performances and results, with a dance story they can look back on and share.

Discover other dancers, follow their performances and share your DanceDuels profile alongside your social channels.

When does a style get its own pool?

A style pool opens at 40 dancers and 80 videos. Until then, those performances take part on Open Floor. Unique Style remains available as an upload choice.

This Week follows individual videos, with a fresh ranking every Monday. All-Time follows the dancer’s longer-term duel record. Rivalries and milestones add the history.

    Prepare your performance

    Invited dancers can set up their profiles and upload their performances. We’re bringing together a varied selection of videos, so there’s something to discover, rate and compete with from the moment the beta opens.

  2. 02

    Open the beta together

    Once enough approved performances are ready, we’ll announce the opening date. Duels and ratings will then open for all invited dancers and judges at the same time.

Founding Dancer

The first 100 dancers who take part with an approved performance will be recognised as Founding Dancers. That place in the beginning stays part of their DanceDuels identity.
